Paranormal Researchers
Research into the paranormal has reached new heights in recent years judging by the large number of popular TV shows investigating these types of activities.
A paranormal researcher usually works with a team of two or more people in order to conduct a proper investigation and to help them set up equipment which often seems to include nearly every electronic gadget under the sun: digital cameras, video cameras, some of them with night vision, infrared video cameras, radios, EMF detectors, flashlights, TV monitors, laptop computers, and other paranormal hunting accessories.
Paranormal research is much easier in this electronic age because of all of the available high tech equipment. A person does not need a large budget to be able to capture evidence of a haunting. There are many inexpensive devices available to someone on a limited budget who wants to take up ghost hunting as a hobby or professionally.
Much of what is used by the professionals on TV is already around your house. You can use this equipment to capture visible evidence with a common video camera or record evidence of a disembodied being with a digital recorder.
Paranormal activities are reported in most communities if you have the guts to ask around. Old and abandoned hospitals or hotels are a common favorite, and the paranormal activity occurring in these locations seem to be attached to it due to the frequent social activities that took place in them.
Old hospitals and especially prisons have a lot of residual energy imprinted on them due to the extreme emotions created by the pain and suffering experienced there. It is easier to capture evidence of a residual haunting than it is to catch a genuine spirit in action.
Ghosts are often associated with a chilling or cold sensation on the skin, but a natural response to fear is hair raising up on the back of the neck or arms and this can be mistaken for the chill caused by an unseen entity. One of the most important and yet inexpensive devices for catching evidence of a ghost is a digital thermometer. It is believed that an entity trying to manifest itself sucks the energy out of the surrounding location, thus dropping the air temperature.
Many paranormal researchers report that the fresh batteries recently installed in their equipment suddenly go dead. Another thing is that peripheral vision is very sensitive to motion, but does not contain much color or the ability to focus, so often times an investigator is fooled by their mind playing tricks on them and it makes them think they have seen something when in fact there was nothing there at all. Evidence is only evidence if you there is some sort of physical proof recorded.
Most researchers find that the more they are in the field doing actual investigations into the paranormal the less fear they have. Confidence comes from experience and most investigators of the paranormal find that ghosts and other paranormal phenomenon are not to be feared and rarely if ever cause harm to those still physically living on the earth.
With more and proper investigation by paranormal researchers we can gain a better understanding of those things we cannot see and with this understanding perhaps we will learn more about the very nature of ourselves.
